getting variable from access into word

Steven Scaife

Is it possible to pass a variable from an access form and display it in a
word document. I want to be able to pass the variable into word, i create
an instance of the word object in access. Would i then need to set a
bookmark or get a line number and paste it in, if so how would i go about
pasting in the variable.

tia for any help offered

Hi Steven,
once you have created or got a word.object and
opened a document, you can use all methods, that
word provides, if that is what you mean. You may
search for a bookmark, paste the value of the
access-variable there, insert it in a header or
footer, show it in a userform or a dialog or
simply use a messagebox, if not inserting the
value but just displaying it is required.
For the last 2 possibilities You don't even need
a word-doc at all.
