Ghost assignments in MSP_WEB_ASSIGNMENTS

I'm seeing multiple assignments for the same resource in the
MSP_WEB_ASSIGNMENTS table. Only one assignment will be shown in the
MSPS client, but there is still data for old assignments in the web
table.

For some of these assignments, the WASSN_DELETED_IN_PROJ field has a
value of 1, instead of the norm of 0. For most, however, the ASSN_UID
is -1, meaning it doesn't match up to any assignment in
MSP_ASSIGNMENTS, and hence the client.

These entries are causing problems when I run queries to get the
WASSN_ID (web assignment ID). Also, I've noticed that the projects
that have these ghost entries are the ones that open, close, save and
publish slower than the rest. These projects have hundreds of ghost
assignments.

Does anyone know how to clean them up?

I don't see anything under Clean Up Project Server database in Project
Web Acccess.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try reposting in the project.server group if you don't get a response within
a couple of days and make sure you say which version of PS ('03 and SP level
or '07)
