GHOST IN MACHINE - WEB SITE URL - RE-PRODUCING NAV BARS

when i save my FP 2003 files, and then re-open minutes/seconds later,
there are DUPLICATED NAVIGATION BARS that I didn't put there, did not insert
code, did not attempt to put there. i'm frustrated with this site, it keeps
doing it, and there is no way--i repeat--no one/no way touching the machine
other than myself. I delete the code, in "design" mode, "code" mode, to no
avail. Anyone know a fix for this? I've already tried FP cleaner.

it happens w/every page except: cyanotypes page....wierd... I'm ready to
trash it and begin again.

Has your host update the FP server extensions with all the proper patches?

BTW, posting your phone, fax and email address in a public newsgroup is
going to cause you some problems with telemarketers, spam, etc.

You have other problems as well. Your hit counters are not incrementing. I
would say the most likely suspect is a corrupted install of the FrontPage
(Sharepoint?) Extensions.

I was on a host that did not support FP all that well. Rather than find out
why they had problems, they blamed FP for the problems and left it at that.
They lost all of my websites and many others for this reason. I was having
similar problems on that host. Hit counters stuck at 1, taking a long time
to open the graphic for the hit counter, navbars not showing up where I put
them, lost themes on some pages, etc.... If you have access to your account
at the shell level, remove and re-install your FP extensions. You'll most
likely have to re-do your navigation and your hit counters will all revert
back to zero, but they're not working anyway. If your host does not allow
this access, ask them to reinstall the FP extensions on your site.
