Ghost Line on Report

D

Using A2K, I created a report which prints information from a form (no
recordsource). I put a line down the left side of the report and just to the
left of any text boxes containing information. Everything appears good
except, when I print the report, there is also a separate line to the left of
the line that I placed on the report. I thought it was something I had
placed there and missed at position 0, but I cannot see anything there. I
cannot grab it to delete it. Would anyone have an idea why the report would
show another line besides the one I placed on the report, or how to get rid
of it? There is a lot of detail in the report and I certainly am not looking
forward to doing it all over just to get rid of this extra line, but at this
point I do not know what else to do.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

I've never see that effect. Are you sure you can't select
the extra line by dragging the mouse from inside the detail
into the left ruler? Maybe you can find it by looking in
the dropdown box at the left of the formatting toolbar.

It's unlikely, but some printers do funny things when the
section's BackColor is anything other than white.

Try previewing the report, the screen image may(?) provide a
clue.

I have had some similar strange lines appear in the past as well. I would
suggest deleting the line you placed at the left. Then, on the Toolbar,
select Edit/select All to highlight anything else that may be in that area.
Maybe it is there and you are not seeing it. Save anfd then go back and try
inserting your line again. Maybe you'll get lucky.
