Ghost tasks in budget report

Lukey

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this little niggle? (Project 2007)

I have a project running which uses external dependencies ('ghos
tasks'). This is all working as expected. However, when I look at th
budget report, the ghost tasks appear in the table (not a problem i
itself) but worse than that, the cost associated with each of thes
ghost tasks is added to the total at the bottom!

This is quite frustrating as I make frequent use of this report and a
having to manually subtract the cost of all the ghost tasks from th
total to get the real figure. Does anyone know how I can prevent thi
from happening

One way to resolve this is open each project containing external
dependences, and then to click Tools - Options - View. On the View page,
deselect the "Show external successors" and "Show external predecessors"
options, and then click the OK button. This will "hide" the external
predecessors and successors in each project and your Cost calculation will
reflect only the tasks in the project.

You can see the external dependencies, however, if you open a master project
containing each project as a subproject. Hope this helps.
