Giving access for someone else to approve time on a specific proje

Hi, I am currently the administrator for all projects on our server. But, I
would like to give someone else access to be able to view a certain project
in the server so that she can 1) Make changes to the project and save to the
server 2) Approve time sheets 3) Get confirmation emails whenever tasks are
updated. But at the same time I need to still maintain these functions for
this project as well. I don't want this person to have access to all of the
projects on the server though. Is there a way to do this just for specific
projects? Currently this person is in the Team Member group for this
specific project. Please let me know what group she would need to be in to
achieve the above 3 tasks. Thanks!

Assuming that you have not changed the default security permissions for
members of the Project Managers group, you can add this person to the
Project Managers group. You will also need to have this person take over as
manager of the project using the steps in the following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/changeprojmgr.htm

The problem you will face, however, is that both of you cannot be the
manager of this project. Only one of you can approve task updates for this
project, so I will let you two sort out how to handle this issue. Hope this
helps.

Hi Dale, thanks for your reply. You mention that only one will be able to
approve tasks, that is fine if we have to. But, my more important question
is if I add her as project manager in the server will she and I both be able
to save changes to that project online?

Yes, both of you will be able to open and save the project. Hope this
helps.
