Glass Effect For Word Art

If you look at the following picture.

The top of the open box has a glass type effect where you can see the text
but it is blured.



How can i have this effect with word art. I have tried transparency but it
does not have the same effect.

I'm afraid I don't even have to look at the linked picture to tell you that
Word Art doesn't have any such feature. It was probably done in a graphics
program that offers tools for that purpose. WordArt is nice, but it's just a
*convenient accessory* provided in a seriously text-based application suite.

You may be able to do something like that if you convert it to an EMF,
Ungroup it & use Paint or a similar app, but I'd be doubtful about the
outcome. It would be better to google for an inexpensive/free graphics
utility if you don't have Photoshop or something along those lines.
