I know this is a Project Server post environment. Decisions and changes were
made without my knowledge and I am tasked to determine why the Global.MPT in
hind sight. The Global.MPT files take 30 seconds to load via Citrix
Environment and only 5 seconds without Citrix. When I rename the Global.MPT
file to _old Global.MPT, re-launch and exit Project Professional connection
to Project Server a new Global.MPT file is created. This new file takes
about 5 seconds to load. I know it’s the Citrix scripts and setup but I
cannot prove it. We’ve been running fine since 09/2005.
My first guess would be the startup location of the user template or
workgroup templates. Since I am not well versed with Citrix, how can I get
out of the mess the higher ups and Citrix Admin started? What should I check
for on the server and/or client side? Scripts were written without my
knowledge and I am playing fire fighter here.
There seems to be issue when the system reads the existing Global.MPT file
over the network via Citrix. Is there another location were files are being
written when connecting to Project Server? It is possible these files were
corrupted?
Thanks,
