Global.mpt Location

What is the directory search order for Project 2007 to locate the global.mpt.
I had it in the Application Data directory and then discovered it was using
one in the Documents and Settings\scking directory. This can be extremely
trying in testing and deployment situations. I know it's posted somewhere
but I've not found it. I develop in XP and Vista so I know they use
different directories and different search orders.

Open Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11)
Make sure you show the Immediate window
In it type
?VBE.VBprojects(1).Filename

Jan,

I've been using your recommended method of finding where the location of the
active Global.mpt file is at the time but I'm developing deployment
procedures and need to know and be absolutely guaranteed I'm deploying to the
correct location. I've seen Project NOT use directories I though it was
supposed to use and then create the default global.mpt. I know there is a
list in the Microsoft documentation somewhere that explains about the
different acceptable locations where it searchs and grabs one for the active
global. Do you know where that documentation may be?
