Global Resource Pool Blank Tasks

I am using MS Project 2003 SP3. I have one of 25 schedules attached to a
global resource pool that has approximately 35 tasks that do not show up in
the gantt view. but do show up in the resource usage view.

Both the ID and Name fields are blank, though there are entries for Start,
Finish, and Hours.

I have two questions: One, wondering if anyone else has run into this and
how to keep it from happening. Two, I would like to delete them if they
aren't serving any useful purpose.
