Globalizing InfoPath

Hello,

I work on a complex application using InfoPath for preparation of
offers.

Our client is a multinational and need the application in several
languages.

I have read of 2 approaches to InfoPath localization

1) Copy the views for each language
2) Fill locale specific data from external datasource

I like the later strategy more as the result will be a maintainable
application with little redundancy.

The later approach is described in article on InfoPath Blog
http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2004/03/18/92032.aspx

However the information about buttons seems incomplete, can anyone
help?

1. Can I somehow preserve the value-of tags for setting the <input>
value attribute
2. Is there another way to cope with both the visual ediiting and the
need to populate some attributes with value-of
3. What is shown on the misterous picture that has workaround for
button inputs?

I really do not love the idea for updating controls via script (not
sure if this is possible too).
