Glued shapes won't copy

If I have a shape glued to a guide line, I canot copy it using Ctrl-C
and Ctrl-V. If I nudge it away from the guide line so that it is not
glued to anything, or even if it is glued to another object, then the
copy keys work.

I don't recall this behavior before. Is there some setting I have
messed up?
