gmail not working

Gmail works in mailwasher and Nokia but not in Outlook 2003 even though
everything is set up correctly including ssl and ports.

Appears to be an Outlook SMTP issue (IMAP works, Nokia IMAP and SMTP works
fine but I have had to change the SMTP server address in Outlook to a
different SMTP server).

Sorry to add to this
Gmail works in mailwasher (unless it is supressing the SMTP error) and Nokia
(have received test emails) but not in Outlook 2003 even though everything
is set up correctly including ssl and ports.
"Task Gmail - Sending' reported error (ox800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP)
server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured conenctions
have worked in the past, contact your administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP).'"

So I set up my phone to test on same ISP (3G) and it works.
Then I set up OE but instead of using smtp.gmail.com and imap.gmail.com I
used my proxy server and ports - OE worked so must be something specific to
Outlook 2003.

Since you don't state what you've used, there's no way to tell if you've made
a mistake. Did you use "smtp.gmail.com" and port 465 for the outgoing server
as well as SSL encryption? Did you check the box labeled "My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication"?

All that has been done and changed (other SMTP server use 25 without SSL).
Nokia mobile works with GMails SMTP server with identical settings.
