in previous word. I could go to view/toolbar/ laptop and then click and go to end of document.

If I have a hundred page document, I want to go directly to the end when I open document. What is easiest way to do so in word 2008.

How about Command+End? Command+Home to get back to the top... Or drag the
Scrollbar button to the top/bottom if you prefer to use the mouse/touchpad.

You might search Word Help using the subject: shortcuts for other ways to
use the program more efficiently rather than relying exclusively on menus:)

There are commands for EndOfDocument and StartOfDocument in Customize
Toolbars (right-click or control-click toolbar to access, use the
alphabetical All Commands category). You can drag them onto a toolbar.

Let me guess... You are on a laptop?

Microsoft "forgot" to include the "PowerBook" toolbar in Word 2008.

If you have your laptop set to steer the Function keys to the Application,
not the Operating System, you can reach the function with "Function +
Command + Right-Arrow (End)".

Similarly, Top of Document is Function + Command + Left-arrow (home).

You can, of course, use Customisation to assign these keystrokes to
different keys of you like.

Hope this helps
