Goal Setting Tasks

Alex

Hey Gang, I hope I have found the right nntp. I am looking at using Outlook
Tasks for managing and maintaing a few goals. I have simple needs. Basically
just want to name the goal, date it, and a few fields for describing the
goal, etc. Outlook tasks work for the most part, but goals contain several
tasks. In other words, one goal can span 6 months and have 1 task to
complete every month for 6 months. Currently this is all in my head, OneNote
and hand writen notes.

I'd like a dashboard view of my goals and their associated tasks. It would
also be nice, but not madatory, to get a brief description of the goal
somewhere so that I can keep my eye on the prize and the motivation high.

Any ideas on how I can achieve this in Outlook.

Thanks,
Alex

Use a Category for each Goal. Then you can have zillions of Tasks to reach
it! Show the Category Column wherever you need it (Inbox, TaskPad, Tasks
Folder etc).
