Godaddy web mail vs. Outlook 2002 email

T

tangled up

I'm having trouble setting up web mail from Go Daddy to work with Outlook
2002. The settings for the outgoing server seem to conflict. No combination
of settings seems to work. the webmail account is working fine, just cant get
it to dump into outlook.. any ideas?

My isp is sbc. I have been on the phone with them three times and they keep
giving me the same settings that don't work. Go Daddy says sbc is blocking it.

any ideas

By default if you have SBC/AT&T DSL you can NOT use another company's SMTP
server to send mail. You will need to either contact SBC and request they
disable port 25 filtering, or you can go to the following website:

http://help.sbcglobal.net/servabuse.php

At that site enter your information and under Abuse Type select **Opt Out
Port 25.

Give them about 24 hours and then reboot your modem (the change will only
take place the next time you authenticate on their system) and you should be
able to connect to whatever outgoing server you need to.

You cannot use sbc servers to send godaddy or any web mail. Use your browser
instead--that's the way web mail works.

Web mail? Why don't you use GoDaddy's POP Mail?
Works fine for me.
