I installed Office 2007 Professional without realizing that it would
install Access 2007. I need to go back to 2003. Are there any gotchas if I
just use Add/Remove programs to un-install Access 2007, and then re-install
Access 2003?
Did your install process actually uninstall Office 2003, or did it just
install Office 2007 and make it the default? There's no particular reason
you can't have both Access 2003 and Access 2007 on the same computer, and
you may still have Access 2003 installed. If so. all you'd need to do is
start up Access 2003 and I believe (though I could be wrong) it will
reregister itself as the default application for the various Access-related
file extensions.
If the install process did uninstall Access 2003, you should be able to
reinstall it without removing Access 2007, so long as you don't install it
in the same folder. I'm not speaking from experience with Access 2007 here,
but I've installed multiple versions of Access on the same computer, not
even in ascending order by version, and had no trouble with it.
