Going from PST to EST and changes to the calendar

Hi all,

I'm moving from Cali (PST) to DC (EST) and changed the time zone in Outlook.
Outlook then changed my annvs, bdays and daily events into 2 day events as
the time changed from PST to EST.

How do I make a universal change so my events are back to 1 day events?

I've been waiting and searching thru MS knowledge base as well as online.
