Good Visio Developer Book?

Hi, Anyone know of a decent book to help get into Visio programming or
shapesheet programming - I've searched Amazon but no joy.

Hi,

I have two recommendations:

1.) Graham Wideman's "Visio 2003 Developer's Survival Pack", published by
Trafford Publishing. In the past, this ultimate Visio bible was only
available directly at Trafford, since they published it just on demand.
However, right now I found it at Amazon. Patience is necessary, since it
ships within 1 to 2 months, but believe me: it's worth waiting for it. :)
2.) "Developing Microsoft Visio Solutions" by Microsoft Press.

If you prefer reading online, you should have a look at the MSDN library
which contains a complete reference of Visio's programming interface, sample
codes and lots more.

Best regards,
Markus

I would put those books in the other order, DVS first. Graham's is an
excellent book, but it builds on the basics that are explained in Developing
Visio Solutions. In addition to the online version of DVS, older versions of
Visio included an Acrobat file, DVS.PDF of the book. Though Visio has
evolved, the basics are pretty much the same an an old version of DVS would
still be useful.

You can order Graham's book directly from the publisher,
http://www.trafford.com. It should be faster than Amazon.

There is also Dave Edson's book "Professional Development with Visio 2000".
it is for an older version of Visio, but it is very useful in describing how
to use Visio with Word, Excel and Outlook.
