good Web design theory and practice

I am sure the possiblities for answering this question are practically
endless.

At the suggestion (on her website) of the FP2002 Dummies author I bought and
read "The non-designer's web book" 2nd Edition by Robin Williams and John
Tollett. There is now a 3rd Edition. Robin has other design books out too.

Good website design is not really tool based (eg. FP vs. EW vs. Nvu) but is
more about the visual interface/layout/graphics etc. But as has been
demonstrated it is possible to do bad design using Dreamweaver much less
FrontPage (and I have no doubt Expression Web).

Shall we talk about it?

Tom
