I have used "Google Calendar Sync" v. 0.9.3.5 and it worked in the beginning.
Since I began using "Outlook Connector" and/or "Plaxo Online" (because both
are able to sync with Outlook 2003 and 2007) "Google Calendar Sync" begins
but in a matter of a few minutes I receive an error message, "Could not
obtain Microsoft Outlooktm Version."
The only help I could find online through a search engine was...if I change
sync options, e.g. 2-way synce to a 1-way sync, that could solve the error
problem. To be more specifically, the above suggestion means "Microsoft
Outlook 2003 Calendar" exports [Syncs] to "Google Calendar" only, but that
hasn't helped at all.
I also use "Autosync for Yahoo" with no error messages or problems with the
sync, only problems with "Google Calendar Sync." But I have had similar
problems with "Autosync for Yahoo" in the past. "Knock on wood"--perhaps
it's just luck this time that "Autosync for Yahoo" hasn't failed too.
I know that more than one sync engine or software application is a no-no,
but I've had up to three sync engines running on my system, and, as long as I
used each sync engine separately or by itself, there wasn't a problem. I
don't know what I've done or what's caught up with the technology of these
sync engines, but I was able to work the three sync engines in the past and
it seems I should be able to do that again, if I could only find out what's
going wrong or what's corrupting the "Google Calendar Sync."
Point: Can anyone help with this inability for "Google Calendar Sync" to
recognize the Outlooktm Version, or for the Microsoft or Windows XP inability
to post the Outlook 2003's version?
Respectfully,
Gary W. Plourde Sr. (Mordido)
P.S. In advance, I want to thank you all for putting up with my long,
drawn-out explanation, but I'm always afraid of being misunderstood because I
didn't use enough detail/s.
