google fonts to0 large, overlapping

I just set up my mom's laptop with the google homepage. The font is
EXTREMELY large and overlaps. I've never had this happen on any other
computer ever! Even the different sections on the page overlap. What
is this and how do I fix it? It's Windows XP, the igoogle homepage.
