I have a long Word 2004 document containing over 100 footnotes. I started to put the footnotes at the end of the paragraph in which they appeared before I figured out how this is done in Word (which allows them to be hidden or visible at the reader's choice).
After I finished the document with all the footnotes I only have one such footnote remaining in the text, but when I delete the last "hanging indent" (the footnote number) all my footnotes disappear and indeed are erased fromthe file. Does anyone know any way to delete the footnote number without erasing all the footnotes?
