Got #RENDER FAILED when trying to filter "My Forms" view

This is more a SharePoint question than InfoPath, but as it relates to
InfoPath, also post it here.

I have a InfoPath form library list. I promoted a few XML fields when
publishing
the template. As the default list of "My Forms" view shows files for
everybody, I want to filter the list to show items request by the active
user and items that need to be approved by the active user.

Take the "request by" as an example:
I have a column, "request by" which is from a XML element of the InfoPath
form.
It contains user's name. I created a filter:

when "request by" is equal to [Me]

but I got #RENDER FAILED when got back to the view.

Searched the web and this group, have not found any clue yet.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
