Trying to push out Office 2003 thru group policy by assigning to computers.
Created admin install on a network share (Authenticated Users & Domain
Computers have full permissions to this share), created transform file to
answer all questions. Ran package manually and installs fine. Permissions
on gpo are Read and Apply Group Policy. But when the test computer boots up,
the install fails. We are using the unc path
(\\IPaddressofserver\sharename\...) to the network share, so I'm lost as to
what else it could be.
Event log shows:
Event ID:108
Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. Software changes
could not be applied. A previous log entry with details should exist. The
error was : The installation source for this product is not available.
Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
Event ID:102
The install of application Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 from
policy Office_dist failed. The error was : The installation source for this
product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can
access it.
Any ideas?
