Basic scenario here is:
We have 100% remote sales force with laptops that VPN into the network.
As part of the 2000 GPO domain policy we enforce password age of 30 days.
Our non-sales office based employees will get the prompt to change their
password 14 days before it will expire.
Our sales staff will not get the prompt to change their password as they're
VPNing into the network after they've logged on locally. This means
eventually their password will expire and they'll be locked out and the
helpdesk will be swamped.
We need a policy that can either:
A) Determine when the password will expire and send an email to the user to
manually change it.
B) Add a calander entry into Outlook 200x on their machine to remind them to
change the password every 60 days.
C) Edit their local GP policy to display a pop-up to remind them to change
their password when they logon.
D) Any other suggestions??
