Grammar and spelling in templates

I have created a template in Word 2000. It has two text boxes in it and I
have used the grammar and spell check on the text in them so that no green /
red underlining is displayed.

When I open a file based on the template (actually in 2003), the green
underlining of the text is displayed again. How can I prevent this happening
but still enable users of the template to benefit from checking the text they
type in?

The template is created in 2000 and could be used on 2000, XP or 2003.

Turn off grammar checking as you type and enable grammar checking with
spelling.

Thanks Graham for this alternative.
