Grammer check when emailing a document

D

Doug

I have a document that is intentionally using bad grammer (a fragment
sentence). How can I set my document options so that when it's emailed to a
person, the receiving person can't see the wavy green line?

Thanks JoAnn, they do have their grammer check on. Mine is off, and the
document is Saved while grammer check is off, and all grammer errors were
ignored prior to saving. We're both using Word 2002. When I look at my
document on their PC, I can see the green wavy line.

It seems from your response that there's no way for the author and sender to
prevent a receiver from seeing the wavy green line as long as their grammer
check is turned on.

Yes. Both settings are saved with the document. You might benefit from my
article as well (there's a table).

Will that stop the recipient from having those indicators show up?

Select the text, go to Tools | Language | Set Language, and check the box
for "Do not check spelling or grammar." If there are many such selections
in
the document, you can use "Hide grammar errors in this document" on the
Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options. For other tips, see

JoAnne, I notice you cite a KB article in your signature for asking
questions. Have you ever considered following the advice in the KB you are
encouraging others to use prior to posting your own replies? After all, what
was asked is a FAQ and the answer is easily found:
http://groups.google.com/groups/search?q=turn+off+grammar+check&

Now the big question is whether Doug returned to this thread and found the
correct answer after receiving an incorrect response. <sigh>

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.

Yes, I'm here, and very thankful for the discussion. I did check the FAQ,
but I was unable to find what I was looking for. Thank you all for your
contributions!
