Granting Permissions to database file

K

kmaskal

I have copied a passworded mdb file to my computer that I
am now unable to open. When attempting to open the file
I am told that the system administrator or file creator
who originally passworded the file must grant me
permission. The original file was corrupted during
another copy attempt and now the creator cannot access
the file either. Is there anyway to bypass this message
or get to the screen where permissions can be granted?
It also listed this as an error 3033.

Thanks

Hi.

You'll need to join the workgroup that was used to secure the database in
order to open the database with a valid User ID and password.
The original file was corrupted during
another copy attempt and now the creator cannot access
the file either.

That's why backups are so important.
