I created a chart in PowerPoint 2004 for Mac using the embedded Graph function, and my client can't edit it in his 2007 pc version. When he double clicks on the chart, it tells him the chart must be converted to 2007 version. When he clicks OKAY, it tells him that it couldn't be converted.

There's nothing really special about the chart. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't convert.

I thought using the embedded programs was the best way to work cross-platform. Now I've re-created the chart in Excel and given him that in case he ever needs to edit it.

Any solutions?

Thanks,
Rita

Rita, ask your client to re-run setup, choose a Custom install and have them select to install MSGraph.

Then when they doubleclick one of your charts, have them choose "Edit Existing"

For more detail, see a longer post I made earlier today on the same subject.
