Graphic mirrored/flipped in XP - originally from W2000

Julie

I'm trying to find a fix or something to correct the problem when graphics
originally placed in Word 2000 documents are opened in XP as flipped and/or
mirrored. However, I'm looking for the fix in Word2000 as that is what we
are using, but some of our clients are using XP. I would like the fix to be
on our end. We had this on a computer previously, but that computer has been
replaced and we can't remember what we did to fix the problem before.

Can anyone help us?

Hi Julie,

Yes, it was an unfortunate issue in Word 2000
in that Word 2000 doesn't recognize the 'switch'
that flips a graphic, so you won't always know that
it might turn over when viewed in Word 2002 or Word 2003.
There was a fix added to Office/Word 2000 in Service Release
(SR) 1/1a, but you still might not know what a later
result would be.

(It's even a bit weird when using Automation to save
a graphic in Word 2002 it erases the 'I'm flipped' bit
to help determine if the current 'up' really is 'up'.

which was one of the earlier 'fixes')

MS has provided a 'Corrective Add-in' for Office 2000 that you
can use to 'right' the drawings when you insert them
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823734&FR=1
using that version that you may want to try.

Let us know how it works for you.
