I'm trying to get schedule and budget indicators to show on the
task/timesheet view - but nothing but a blank field is shown. When I view
the tasks in the Project Center, everything it fine so I know this is
working correctly

Is there a limiation on being able to use graphical indicators in the
timesheet/task view

Thanks,
Simon

OK,

I found out how to do this. It was to do with the customize, publish
settings - which I really had no idea about. I guess new projects that were
created would have this, but the existing projects needed these tasks
adding.

There is a difference in views of Timesheet and Project Centre views
If you want to add any field to include to the Timesheet view you nee
to do the followin

Go to Tools | Customize | Published Field
Select the Field with its type (task or assignment) you want t
publis
Click O
Then Publish the plan again

I think this will work per project basis
I tried this with Enterprise Global. It didn't work
So you have to do this manually for individual projects

Hope this will help you

Thanks for the info - I figured it out after.

What I am confused about is that custom outline codes (task level) are
automatically made available once i modified the tasksheet view, but status
indicators need to be added project by project and published in professional
before they show.

It seems to me that the enterprise global should be able to "force" this.
Myabe I am missing some configuration...

You cannot accomplish what you wish by adding the custom outline codes to
the Enterprise Global file. Instead, you must add these custom outline
codes to the list of published fields in every project using Tools -
Customize - Published Fields). Then you must republish the assignments
using Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments. The act of
republishing the assignments will "push" the data in these custom outline
codes to each user's timesheet in PWA. You must do this for every project
in the database.

There is no quick and simple way to do this. To simplify things in the
future, you should add the custom outline codes to each enterprise project
template so that all new projects created from the templates will receive
these published fields automatically. But, again, let me stress that you
cannot accomplish this by adding the custom outline codes to the Enterprise
Global file. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

I am currently facing the similar problem with one of my project level view
in PWA. Problem is : I have 4 custom fields defined on each project. They
represent indicators. All projects are published. I have included these
fields in a 'project' view and indicators do not show up on this view against
each task. Same when included in a 'project center' show the summary level
indicators which is fine. Why would the indicators do not show up in the
project view. I added these custom columns in the project professional veiw
and they show up their perfectly fine.

Please help!!
Thanks

It sounds like you created four custom enterprise Project fields with
graphical indicators. Did you also create four custom enterprise Task
fields with graphical indicators as well? If not, you need to do so. Let
us know.
