Graphical Indicators Disappearing Values in MS Project Pro

MS Project 2007 -

I setup an Enterprise Custom field in PWA with graphical indicators for
Finish Variance - red, yellow, green.

When one Project Manager publishes a plan in Project Pro - the indicator is
Red in Project Center even though the variance is 0 days which = Green. I
opened the plan in Project Pro - added the Custom field to my Project plan
and all the indicators are green. On the Project Manager's PC - I opened the
same plan - added the custom field to the project plan and all the indicators
are red.

I checked the Custom field definition on this Project Manager's Project Pro
and all the Values are missing although the tests and images are filled in
for the custom field.

I chekced another Project Manager's Project Pro who is working within the
same shared PWA environment as us and he has the tests, values and images
populated in Project pro correctly for the same custom field.

How do I restore the field Values within this one Project manager's Proejct
Pro - do I need to redefine and readd the field to the Enterprise? We are in
production now so I need to be careful about how to solve the problem,

Thanks

There are bugs in the graphical indicators for Project 2007.
Two days ago microsoft released an infrastructure which is supposed to help
with this issue.

Jack,

Thanks - I will read the notes and setup my test system for the new release
BUT in the meantime - I need some sort of fix for our current production
problem until we get the new release in.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

I think from the looks of it the Project Pro calculation engine on
identified PM machine is not working correctly.
I would try the following:

1. Clear locacl Cache completely
2. Re-install Project Pro for the PM

Either one of the above should fix your problem.

The only fix I know is to only make changes in Project Professional and
republish all projects.
I even had to write a macro to do this.

There is no other fix that I know of.

Thanks - with the help I got pointed in the right direction - it turns out
the 2 users who had the issue had the Office SP1 applied by our admins
instead of MS Project SP1 so once I installed the Project SP1 - all was
resolved.
