graphical indicators lost when pushing from PWA

I sometimes like to edit properties and publish from PWA for simple edits,
intead of publishing updates from Project. However, wheni publish from PWA
the graphical indicators from custom field formulas do not display in PWA.
Onyly publishing from Project "sets" the indicatos in PWA.

anyone else seen this problem?

Issues such as this with custom fields was an issue in pre-SP1 Project
Server 2007. What is your latest patch level for Service Pack and
Cumulative Updates?

This issue was corrected in the Infrastructure Update released in July. I
suggest that you install the latest update, which is February cumulative
update.

our IT guys tell me the latest infrastructure updates were applied in
December, but I continue to have this isssue.

can you poiint me to the KB or other source for the latest CU that I can
send to my IT team?

Pat:

If your IT guys were applying the Infrastructure Updates in December, then
they weren't applying the latest updates available at the time. Cumulative
updates were released in August, October, December and February, albeit some
of these released on the 40th day or the month.<g> The latest CU is
February, but I can assure you that this problem was corrected in the July
update. I recommend that you install the Feb Update at this point. Are you
certain that both the server and client updates were applied?

The very latest update is a March 6 hot fix:

can you tell me what you mean by "both the server and the client updates"

is that different aptches for app server and the web server for PWA?

When I say sever and client, I mean Server = Project Server and Client =
Project Professional. Some of the problems are on the server side, some are
on the client side.

thanks Gary! are the CUs for Project Pro client in the same Feb CU KB with
the servevr CUs

Pat:

Each has it's own KB number. Not every CU contains updates for both. The
most critical patch is the IU which absolutely requires that both the server
and the client be patched to the same level. With other CUs it's not
required if it doesn't specifically say so in the docs, but it is always
very advisable to run at the same patch level from a "best practice"
perspective.
