Graphical indicators using 'contains' criteria don't display in PW

I'm running the Trial version of Project Server (which immediately makes me
suspicious). It won't take SP1, so it's still base release.

I'm setting up 'traffic lights' using graphical indicators. Normally I use
indicators based on a criterion like "contains" and "Warning". However, when
I do that on this site, they don't display in PWA views. The data is there
because the tooltip pops up but the cell is blank. If I change the criterion
to "equals" and "Warning. This task is getting ugly." it works.

The graphical indicators show correctly in Project Pro.

It's only a problem with task level indicators. Project level indicators
using 'contains' criteria work in Project Center views.

It's nothing to do with summary tasks or non-summary - neither works.

I am going through the full process:
- add a new field in Ent Global and customise the formula and indicators
- exit and restart Project Pro
- update and test the field in my test project using Project Pro
- Save, republish etc. the schedule
- add the new field to a Project level view in PWA
- test the view and it doesn't work

Any thoughts? Is this just a problem with the Trial version or am I missing
something?
