Graphics and frames around text boxes don't show up.

Peer Verkissen

I installed MS Office 2003 on my Windows XP machine.
The problem is that in my Powerpoint presentations graphics and frames
around text boxes don't show up.
However when I overlay the powerpoint slide with a window of an other
application the graphics and frames become visible, but after the Powerpoint
slide gets focus again they disappear.
Changing frame colors didn't work.
Uninstalling and subsequently installing Office 2003 did not solve the
problem either.
Also renewing the drivers of my ATI Radeon 9600 Atlantis video card did not
help.
Am I missing something?
Help is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Peer,

In the properties for the graphics card driver try
turning down the acceleration at least 2 clicks to
see if that helps. There are some issues folks have
reported with that graphics card with DirectX 9 and/or
Windows XP's SP2.
