Graphics coming in as black boxes in Word 2007

Rich W.

A user of mine is receiving files that contain graphics. He has Word 2007 on
his PC - the files were created in 2003.

I can reproduce the problem on other PC's (that is, if I pull the file up in
Word 2003, the graphics are as they should be. If I pull the file up in Word
2007, all I have are solid black boxes).

Anyone have an idea as to why?

Thank you.

Hi Rich,

Assuming the printer and graphic card drivers have been updated, does this occur if you change the default printer drive in Word
2007's
Office Files button=>Print=>Print dialog?

Another customer reported that he was having a similar issue when using a Postscript printer driver.

What type of graphics and how were they inserted into Word?

I have that problem when I write word 2007 to a PDF. The charts look fine
but tables show up as black boxes. The tables had been pasted as windows
metafiles from Excel 2007. Help would be appreciated
