Yesterday, Microsoft performed an automatic update to my system. Since then
my Outlook has not been working the same. Yesterday I created a test email
that included embedded graphics (jpgs and gifs). Today, I tried to resend
the email to work on it some more, but the graphics did not appear. A box
was placed in the proper location, but no graphics showed. I tried sending
this email to another Outlook account. Once sent, in the sent items, the
graphics did appear in the email. Then, I tried sending to another account
that was not an Outlook account but in Eudora. Here the graphics were not
embedded at all, but simply attached at the bottom of the email. Although
prior to yesterday, I have been able to perform this type of embedded graphic
many times.
Then I tried turning off Word as my editor. This seemed to fix the viewing
of the graphics, but using HTML limits some of the other functions, like
colours for backgrounds, etc.
I'd love to hear from anybody who has encountered similar problems and how
to fix it.
