Graphics in table

In Word 2003, I want to line up a floating graphics object inside a table.
The object covers several cells that cannot be merged. It seems the object is
anchored to a paragrarh beneath the table, so whenever I move the text, the
picture moves. I have tried everthing in the Format Object>Advanced Layout
dialog box, but nothing seems to help. Is it at all possible to anchor
graphis inside a table?

In the Advanced Layout section there should be a check box "Move with text". did
you try deactivating that? Or did you try setting the graphic to a position
relative to the page or margin?

I certainly did unmark the "Move with text" as well as "Lock anchor".
However, this morning, in desperation I redid the whole table and tried to
put the graphics in place. It worked!

Thanks anyway!
