HELP!

I desperately need to know how I can make a transparent image/graphic
work in MS Word for Mac 2004!

The images are just black illustrations and I need the white areas to
be transparent.

I was using eps files in Word X and that worked wonderfully. Now eps
files in Word 2004 show up inversed (transparent in a black box as
opposed to black on a transparent field).

Arg. Any helpful thoughts?

Suggestions??

I wonder if your problem is just what I have mentioned many times
here:
The text in a picture object is patched with a black rectangular
BACKGROUND. As the text is usually black in colour, it disappears
totally in the picture after closing the editing window. Curiously
this does not happen when I log in as another user (but other weird
things happen) or use another machine. So I don't think the problem is
universal. I have restored the whole Office and got no cure. Even
reinstalling the OS (10.3.4 of course) cannot help.
