graphics load slower thasn text on my Website

I built my Web site in Publisher 2003. When I log onto my site
www.larryoconnorcommunications.com, the clip art graphic image on my company
logo on every page and the three photo and four clip art images I have on the
site load a second or two after the site comes up. Is this just SOP for
Publisher built Web sites or is there something I can do so the images are
there when you click on my pages?

Load service pack 1 for 2003 (link is on www.publishermvps.com) and then use
the optimize images button it installs on the picture toolbar. You want web
quality images, not photo quality. Then resave and republish the site.
