Graphics used as Backgrounds

Hi,

I have been trying to add some JPEGS as background graphics on a LogIn
fom and two other forms, however the total size of the Database is
huge with just these three graphics added. The graphic is 500kb, i
know its on the large size, but my database grows from 40MB to a
gigantic 250MB. Where has all that come from?

Would any suggest a diferent file format to use. By the way the
graphic is a photo...

Hi

Reformat the photograph as a BMP.

You only need 72 DPI - 500kb is much too big - most screens only work to
72DPI so anything bigger is a waste of time as no-one will notice.

Make a backup of the database then compact the original. This should do the
trick.
