Gray Screen

When a co-working tries to open a excel document the get
a gray screen and this is with any excel file.

Try

Start / Run /
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Excel.exe" /Regserver

and make sure that

Tools / Options / General / Ignore other applications is not checked.

If this doesn't help, please advise
- which version of Excel
- how is the user causing Excel to run
