I am writing a very long proposal and I inserted page
numbering when I began the project. Last night, while I
was in the middle of editing the document in Word (Office
XP), my 3-year-old daughter turned off the computer.
I restarted the PC and recovered the document, but I
noticed that all my page numbering had disappeared. I then
clicked on the Insert menu to attempt to re-insert the
page numbering, but I noticed that "Page Numbering" is now
grayed out in the Insert menu.
I have saved the document under a different file name and
even copied it on a diskette and logged into a different
PC, but the problem persists--Page Numbering is still
grayed out in the Insert menu.
This document is due on Monday and I cannot submit it
without page numbering. Does anyone have a clue on what I
should do to restore page numbering?
I look forard to hearing from you.
