Greek Characters

How do I insert a greek character, specifically theta, into a cell
without using Microsoft Equation to do it? I have seen it on the
Windows version of Excel under the Insert menu and then selecting
Symbols, but I have not found that on the Mac version of Excel.

Hi Dennis,
You can do the following:

1. Goto System preferences | International | Input Menu
2. Check character palette to turn it on
3. on the menu bar click on the language flag to drop down the list and
choose "show character palette"
4. as theta is a Greek symbol choose "Greek and Coptic"
5. Scroll to get to theta (Unicode 03B8)
6. insert

This should work
Thanks,
Priyanka
