Greek Email in 2003

I have just bought Office 2003
While I can send e-mail in Greek I cannot read anything
sent in Greek (it comes up with incomprehensible
characters). I've tried everything - from changing the
encoding, checking the language settings, International
fonts etc. Nothing seems to work.
I never had this problem in Outlook XP!
