Grid origin - ifc export

The last but one master in the stencil "Walls, shells and Structure" is
called "Grid Origin" Its explanation is " ... to locate the origin of a
drawing for ifc export"
Industry Foundation Classes. Hum, sounds interesting. Autocad has it.
I am using Visio 2003. Is there more information in Visio 2007 ?

Also the last master in the Shape looks strange. It is called "Grid line".
The explanation is " ... to create an(d) architectureal grid for laying out
columns. I think I know what it means, but it has no glue points. Is there
a special way to use it ?

AFAIK, Microsoft decided to abandon IFC support in Visio.
There was work on an Import/Export utility, but it was decided that it was
to "niche".
