Gridlines bother me.

So, in Windows Me I was able to go into the Registry and under
Options3, I added 4000 to the value shown and all future workbooks and
worksheets opened without grid lines.

But with Windows XE on my new computer Options3 isn't there at all. So
now I'm stuck.

Can anyone tell me what Registry entry to change using XE and Excel 2000
?

What happens when you create/add that key in the windows registry?

It worked.

After trial and error (I still don't quite understand the registry yet) I
created a key named Options3 with the value 0x00004000, and it worked. All new
workbooks and sheets now open without gridlines. The value has now become
0x00004040
