Gridlines on every document.

Hi there

I have no idea what i have done but somehow gridlines now appear on every
document i have previously saved and on every new document.

I thought i might be the Normal. template but these gridlines show on any
saved document.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I have pressed remove
girdlines under tools but this does not do anything.

It almost looks like a table if not gridlines. Thanks....

Oh yeah, that information would be useful!!!

Office Word 2000. They do not print and have not been able to find a way of
fixing it!!!

Try deleting the normal.dot for Word and see if that resolves it. Close
Word, then search for normal.dot on your hard drive. Delete any that you
find, and then start Word again.

When you say you tried to turn off gridlines, what happened?

Do these gridlines look like squares or elongated rectangles?

Look on the Drawing Toolbar, Draw, Grid - is it set to display grids?

It sounds like you are seeing the Drawing Grid. It may have been
inadvertently turned on or you may have an Asian language enabled that
utilizes the Drawing Grid. To rectify:

- On the Page Layout tab in the Arrange group, click Align/Grid Settings
- Deselect "Show gridlines on screen"

My previous reply was for Word 2007. Sorry about that! To turn on the
Drawing Grid in Word 2000 follow these steps:

- Right-click any toolbar and turn on the Drawing toolbar
- On the Drawing toolbar, click the Draw menu
- Click Grid
- Deselect "Display gridlines on screen"
