Gridlines

I have a long document of an audio transcription. We used
a 2 column table to do this and cannot hide the
gridlines. We have used the hide/show gridlines command
in table, but this does not work. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have Borders applied to the table gridlines. Select the
table, then choose Format<Borders and Shading. On the Borders tab, you can
then select "None" and click OK to remove all the borders.
